Seeking Alternatives for Men Over 40 (2026)

An honest comparison for men 40 and up who are weighing Seeking against the alternatives: Secret Benefits, SugarDaddyMeet, MillionaireMatch, Luxy, Match and Arranged, with sourced prices and who each one suits.

By The Arranged Team

Quick verdict: the best Seeking alternative for a man over 40 depends on what you want and how many conversations you actually start. For a cheaper flat price with free browsing first, Arranged ($49.99 a month to message). For messaging only a few people, a credit site like Secret Benefits. For a wealth-focused crowd closer to your own age, MillionaireMatch or Luxy. For a conventional relationship with someone near your age, Match.

Competitor prices come from DatingScout's pricing pages (updated September 20, 2026) or the App Store, as named. Arranged publishes this page and is one of the options. Everyone on these sites must be 18 or older.

Seeking charges men $109.99 a month for Premium and $274.99 a month for Diamond, per DatingScout's pricing table updated September 20, 2026. If you're over 40, you may also be wondering whether a site built around sugar dating is even the right room for you. This page answers both questions: what the alternatives cost, and which kind of man each one actually suits.

A note on names first. Seeking used to be called SeekingArrangement. It renamed itself Seeking in February 2022 and, per its February 16, 2022 announcement, moved away from the "sugar dating" label. Same company (Reflex Media, per its terms of service), same paid model for men. If you're comparing old reviews with new ones, they're talking about the same site.

Quick answer

For men over 40 leaving Seeking: Arranged for a flat $49.99 a month with free browsing first; Secret Benefits if you message a few people a month; SugarDaddyMeet for the lowest rate on a six-month plan; MillionaireMatch or Luxy for a wealth-focused crowd closer to your own age; Match for a conventional relationship. Browse two for a week and pay where the replies come from.

What men over 40 should compare

Most comparison pages rank sites by monthly price. That's the least useful number for a man in his 40s or 50s, who usually has more money than time. We'd look at four things instead:

  • How you pay: a flat subscription, or credits spent per conversation.
  • Whether you can see who's there before paying anything.
  • Who the site is built for: a wide age gap stated openly, or people closer to your own age.
  • Privacy controls, since a lot of men over 40 have a career and a town where people know them.

Then there's the number that matters most and that no site publishes about itself: how often a first message gets a reply. We'll come back to that.

Seeking: what you'd be leaving

Be fair to it. Seeking has the biggest pool in sugar dating, a brand most women in this space have heard of, and, in our opinion, the best odds of finding someone outside a major US city. Volume is a real advantage, and if you live somewhere small it may outweigh everything else on this page.

What you pay for that: $109.99 a month for Premium, or $289.99 for three months (about $96.66 a month); Diamond is $274.99 a month, per DatingScout. Twelve months of Premium at the monthly rate comes to $1,319.88. Per DatingScout's October 2026 review, there's no iOS app, so iPhone users are on the mobile site, and verification beyond email (a selfie check, an ID check for a fee, a background check) is optional. Our Seeking cost breakdown goes tier by tier.

Secret Benefits: if you only message a few people

Secret Benefits has no subscription. You buy credits: 100 for $59, 500 for $169, 1,000 for $289, per DatingScout. Both DatingScout and VidaSelect report that opening a conversation with someone new costs 10 credits, so the small pack covers about ten conversations at roughly $5.90 each.

That math favors a particular kind of man over 40: busy, selective, and likely to message three or four women a month rather than thirty. If that's you, credits can cost less than any subscription. If you message widely, they run out fast, and credits spent on a conversation that never gets a reply are gone. In our opinion it's a decent supplement and an expensive main site. More in our Secret Benefits review.

SugarDaddyMeet: lowest monthly rate, if you commit

SugarDaddyMeet is $50 for one month, $90 for three or $144 for six, per DatingScout. Six months works out to $24 a month, the lowest subscription price on this page. The catch, per the same source, is that women pay the same upgrade price as men to start conversations, which changes who's on it. DatingScout's October 2026 review also lists fake accounts and difficulty unsubscribing among its cons. Check how active your area is before you commit to six months.

MillionaireMatch: wealth-focused, closer to your age

MillionaireMatch isn't a sugar site. It's a dating site built around wealthy singles and conventional relationships, which is why it belongs on a list for men over 40. Gold membership is $70 for one month, $170 for three or $270 for six, per DatingScout (pricing updated September 20, 2026). DatingScout says most members are in the 35 to 54 range.

Its Certified Millionaire badge needs a Gold membership plus a tax return or bank statement and ID, per the same review. That's the most substantial income check we've found on any site in this space. If you want to date women who are also established, and don't want the age gap to be the main event, it's worth a look. Our MillionaireMatch review has the rest.

Luxy: a luxury app for big cities

Luxy markets itself to wealthy and accomplished singles and doesn't describe itself as a sugar app. Luxy Black is $99.99 for one month, $239.97 for three, $349.99 for six or $384.99 for twelve (about $32.08 a month), per DatingScout's pricing updated September 20, 2026. DatingScout also says a verified income of at least $200,000 earns one free Black message a day.

In our opinion the user base outside a few large cities is thin, so it works better as a second app in New York, Miami or Los Angeles than as your only one. We compared it directly in Luxy vs Arranged.

Match: if you want someone near your own age

Some men searching for Seeking alternatives are really asking a different question: should I be on a sugar site at all? If what you want is a long-term relationship with someone in her 40s, a mainstream site is the honest answer. Match's App Store listing (checked October 25, 2026) shows "1 Month Standard" at $44.99, and longer plans cost less per month, from $21.84 a month on a twelve-month Standard plan, per DatingScout's pricing updated September 20, 2026. Our best dating apps for men over 40 ranks Match alongside Hinge, Bumble and the rest.

Arranged

We run Arranged, so weigh this section accordingly. Here are the facts.

Women join and message free. Men browse full profiles and photos, like, match and see who liked them for free. Messaging takes Premium at $49.99 a month or $499 a year, which also lets you hide from search and hide your income. Diamond, at $99.99 a month or $999 a year, adds private browsing, hidden read receipts and last seen, priority placement and a weekly 24-hour boost. Photo verification is optional: a live selfie checked automatically for a real face and apparent age. It isn't compared to profile photos and isn't reviewed by a person, except where someone may be under 18.

Where it's weaker: Arranged launched in 2026, so it's much smaller than Seeking, and in many cities you'll see fewer people. It runs as a web app rather than an App Store download.

What our own member data says, from real members between August 11 and October 25, 2026 (all ages, not only men over 40): the median man is 39 and the median woman 26, and the median age gap across 1,864 matches is 19 years. Of 1,804 first messages men sent, 37% got a reply. Distance barely moved that: openers that crossed 1,000 miles or more were answered 37% of the time, and 86% of openers crossed 250 miles or more, because members often meet across cities. The full numbers are in our 2026 data report.

What a year actually costs

  • Seeking Diamond, monthly: $3,299.88
  • Seeking Premium, monthly: $1,319.88
  • Arranged Diamond, yearly: $999
  • MillionaireMatch, two six-month plans: $540
  • Arranged Premium, yearly: $499
  • Luxy Black, twelve months: $384.99
  • SugarDaddyMeet, two six-month plans: $288
  • Match Standard, twelve months at $21.84: about $262

Secret Benefits doesn't fit on the list, because it depends on how many people you message. Ten new conversations a month at the small-pack rate would come to about $708 a year.

How to get more replies on any of them

Whichever site you pick, the first message does more work than the subscription. On Arranged, openers of 60 to 149 characters got replies 41% of the time, against 18% for openers of 150 characters or more. Openers that asked a question got replies 50% of the time, against 33% without one. That's one app, but there's no reason to think a long first message reads better anywhere else.

Be patient, too: among first messages that got a reply on Arranged, the median reply came about 7 hours later. Our guide to a first message that gets a reply has examples, and the dating over 40 guide for men goes further on profiles and photos.

Privacy for men over 40

If you're known in your field or your town, privacy controls matter more than another 10% off. On Seeking, check what your tier hides before you buy. On Arranged, Premium hides you from search and hides your income, and Diamond adds private browsing, so you don't show up in the profile views of people you look at. On any site: don't use your work email, keep your employer's name out of your bio, and use photos that aren't on your LinkedIn. Privacy here means control over who sees you, not hiding a relationship from a partner.

If you're open to a wider age gap and want both people to be upfront about what they're looking for, it can be. If you want someone close to your own age, a mainstream site like Match will probably serve you better.

Do any Seeking alternatives verify income?

A few offer it as an option. MillionaireMatch's badge needs a tax return or bank statement plus ID, and Luxy rewards verified income of $200,000 or more, per DatingScout. Arranged does not verify income. Treat any income on a profile as a claim.
